Last week I had the opportunity to attend INBOUND, the HubSpot-hosted event that drew over 21,000 marketing and sales professionals ‘from almost every industry imaginable and from all corners of the globe.’
With an inspirational lineup of keynote speakers – which included Michelle Obama, Brené Brown, and Billy Jean King to name a few – this year’s theme focused on authenticity, personalization, and the human connection. If educational workshops were your thing, there was also a smorgasbord of breakout sessions to discover the latest trends on engaging and delighting customers. The original movie’s dark vision is startling, but it does get a few things right. The “replicants” depicted in the film are an example of “strong AI,” or artificial general intelligence (AGI) that allows a machine to perform virtually any human task. These characteristics include the ability to make advanced, independent decisions and makes the replicants faster and stronger than humans. “Strong AI” also implies that robots could have super-human intelligence, though there is a debate as to whether this sort of AI-powered autonomy and intelligence constitute true consciousness.Read more
