Since the day I started the job, I’ve watched our Customer Success Team grow and take significant positive strides forward in our account management style. I’ve learned that the success of a customer is not solely dependent on the Customer Success Team. It’s a true team effort — everyone from the Sales Team, Operations Team, Engineering Team, etc., has a direct impact on our customer’s journey and success with the Conversica platform.Read more
As I read the mid-year report from NADA on fixed ops and the shrinking margins on the variable side I couldn’t help but think how important people are becoming. Yes, process and technology are important parts of retaining our employees and customers, but without people everything else is irrelevant. This is likely obvious to those of you reading this.
Inherently we know that the following are the building blocks to happy employees and customers because we live in the day to day frenzy of fixed operations:Read more
It hasn’t even been a year since I graduated college and started my first “real” job, yet I feel like it was so long ago. I am a Sales Development Representative. Yes, the dreaded SDR that calls you at random times, tries to schedule meetings and hears people tell me no more than yes. How did I get here, why do I do it, and what does the future hold?Read more
Lead generation is a big investment—53 percent of marketers report that half or more of their budget is allocated to it. Companies budget a lot of money to fund marketing campaigns and content creation—not to mention the marketing and sales technology your teams are using to identify, track, nurture leads, and convert them into customers.Read more
The best tip I have ever gotten in my life was “Have a purpose every day.”
In my college days when I played football for the University of Kansas, times got hard. All student athletes can relate to this when I say it was a struggle. You need to find time to balance school, tutoring, homework, practice, workouts and your social life.Read more
“Deep learning” has become a hot topic in the general rush to launch AI products. But many of these products will fail because companies are putting branding ahead of functionality. Success depends on understanding what deep learning is, how it works, and what its most effective applications are.Read more
Artificial Intelligence is one of humanity’s most inspiring quests. I feel lucky to live in a time when there is so much initiative around Artificial Intelligence, and entrepreneurs are backing AI software development, recognizing it as a technology of the future. With all the talk around AI however, it’s sometimes hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. Real AI is supposed to drive real results in business growth – not just buzz and social media likes.Read more
Let me just start by saying that I am writing this post from a position that I never thought I’d be in: approaching the six month mark as a Technical Support Representative at a company that specializes in software. I’m a English major, who has always had dreams of writing fiction, and more recently has aspired to work as a technical writer, so needless to say that Technical Support Representative was nowhere near the top of my list. Because six months ago I would have described myself as “not a computer person”.
So here’s the story of how I got this job, and why I’ve come to realize in the last six months that not only is someone with my background an excellent fit for this kind of a position, but why more Humanities majors should apply for jobs like it, and why hiring managers should look for applicants with these kinds of qualifications.Read more
AI, particularly when combined with big data and analytics, will help drive the meaningful customer conversations that ultimately lead to sales. And while some might view AI as impersonal, its applications are starting to achieve ubiquity (think Siri) and widespread consumer acceptance while delivering improvements in the overall customer experience.Read more
Welcome to our guest blog, courtesy of Kim Honjo of Salesforce: Humans have had a fascination with artificial intelligence (AI) for longer than you probably realize. While the term ‘artificial intelligence’ is relatively new, the concept of non-humans or artificial creatures coming to life traces back to Greek mythology and even earlier. By the 19thRead more
